VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — "Our season is April through December, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.," said Stephen Pinner from The Petting Farm at Hunt Club Farm in Virginia Beach, a huge hit with kids and adults.

"We’ve got lots of baby goats being born, just last week and even yesterday, so lots of babies. You can also ride a pony if you're under 125 pounds," Pinner mentioned.

And birds!

"We’ve got about 350 to 500 parakeets. Of course, the birds go crazy over the feed sticks. You can get those and enjoy a little one-on-one time with some of our feathered friends," he said.

The aviary is the favorite spot of five-year-old Harlow Hechkopf.

“What's your favorite color bird? The white one right there?” said Harlow.

And how about some cow cuddling?

This year, the farm has added miniature Highland cows to the Hunt Club furry family that you can cozy up to or bottle-feed.

"We picked the Highland cows for their temperament and cute, cuddly little faces. They’re kind of like Clifford the Big Red Dog," said Pinner.

It costs $15 per person to get in, and there is an extra charge of $10 for a pony ride.

It’s a fun way to spend the day, and who couldn’t use an extra cuddle or two, especially from one of these cuties?
