PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Grove Church is doing it again! As high gas prices continue to hit the pockets of people around Hampton Roads, the Portsmouth church is once again giving away free gas - but this time, the giveaway will be bigger and better.
On Saturday, April 2, the church will give out $20,000 worth of gas at the Exxon Tiger Mart located at 5830 High Street W. The giveaway will start at 8 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. or while supplies last.
This follows the overwhelming response from last year's community gas giveaway, during which the church gave away $10,000 worth of gas.
The event is open to the public. No registration or sign-up is required.
While masks are optional, the church is asking those who attend to stay in their vehicles to practice social distancing.
