HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore kicked off their annual Hunger Heroes Competition.
The competition is a yearly donation event, giving locals the chance to team up and donate to help fight food insecurity in Hampton Roads.
This is the sixth year for the competition, and it runs through July 24.
Winners will be chosen based on the amount of food donated.
