HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - Covid-19 has taken an enormous toll on America’s nursing homes and according to the Kaiser Family Foundation at least 44,000 people in nursing homes or other long term care facilities have already lost their lives as of June 4th, accounting for roughly 2 in 5 Covid-related deaths in America. Bill Sweeney, AARP’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, joins us to discuss what needs to be done to protect the health and safety of people in nursing homes.
