HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - As we try to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of COVID-19, hand-washing and sanitizing has become increasingly important. Cheryl Nelson shows us a proper hand-washing technique and shares an easy way to make hand sanitizer at home.
A note from Cheryl: The higher the amount of isopropyl alcohol used, the better - 91% to 99% is good. The key to killing germs is to have a 2:1 proportion of alcohol to aloe vera. This keeps the alcohol content at 60% or greater, which according to the CDC, is the minimum amount needed to kill most germs.
