Earth day sunshine, storms late Thursday...

The rest of our Earth Day will be spectacular! Expect wall-to-wall sunshine with temperatures in the 60s. Winds will be much lighter and more enjoyable as well.

Tonight will start clear with clouds increasing late. Low temperatures will be in the upper 40s. Winds will be light out of the south.


Rain returns for Thursday and Friday. Clouds will build in early Thursday morning and most of the day will be cloudy. Showers will move in Thursday afternoon with widespread rain and storms Thursday night. A strong to severe storm is possible, mainly in North Carolina. Rain will continue into Friday morning and skies will clear Friday afternoon. Highs will linger near normal, in the upper 60s to low 70s for Thursday and Friday.

More showers and storms will move in for the weekend. Highs will remain in the 60s and 70s.
