YORK Co., Va. - Another York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputy has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Officials said the deputy works at the Courthouse and has been home and quarantined since Friday, April 3.

The courthouse was thoroughly cleaned in accordance with CDC guidelines on Sunday, April 5, according to officials.

There are now four deputies and one civilian employee (who all work at the courthouse) that are out of work with coronavirus.

They will not return to work without clearance from a medical professional, officials said.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the deputies and their families and to all of those who have been impacted by this virus," county officials said in the press release.
