VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - As the coronavirus puts life on hold, there has been a big push to support local businesses.

In addition to curbside pick-up and to-go orders, Bay Local Eatery in Virginia Beach has opened a Farmer's Market. Outside of the restaurant on Laskin Road, you can now get fresh produce and seafood.

Bay Local works closely with other local farmers and fishermen throughout the year to provide the freshest food so it's no surprise they wanted to find a way to keep them afloat too.

"We have oysters and clams from the Eastern Shore that are coming out and being delivered the same day they come out of the water - it doesn't get any fresher than that. We're working with Cromwell's Farm down in Pungo and they're harvesting and delivering to us as well so really we're doing all we can for those small businesses to try and keep them afloat," says co-owner of Bay Local Eatery, Billy Ennis.

The market will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
