VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Essential employees working through the COVID-19 outbreak have some support when it comes to taking care of their kids.

Starting Monday, April 27, the Boys and Girls Clubs' Rosemont club in Virginia Beach is offering child care for essential personnel.

Following guidelines from the Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the club says it's working to make sure everyone stays safe while responding to a major need.

“It is evident, now more than ever, the need of Boys & Girls Clubs in our community. While we wish we could open all of our doors, especially during this critical time, it is our hope that this limited option will provide some relief," said Kevin Will, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, in a statement.

There are 55 spaces open for child care that will be filled on a first come, first serve basis, according to the organization.
