Chesapeake Police investigating overnight armed robbery

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Police Department is investigating an overnight armed robbery of a Greenbrier business.

According to police, around midnight Friday, officers responded to a business located near the intersection of Eden Way North and Stephanie Way after receiving a report of a commercial robbery. A black male wearing a black sweatshirt and black face covering entered the business armed with a handgun and stole money from the business. The suspect then fled the area.

No one was injured, police said.
