In response to many businesses and schools closing, one company is offering free Wi-Fi access to students for the next 60 days.

Charter Communications announced it will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to homes with K-12 students or college students, who are not subscribers, to any service level up to 100 Mbps. Installation fees will be waived.

For low-income households without school-aged children, Charter is set to offer Spectrum Internet Assist, delivering speeds of 30 Mbps, according to Charter officials.

Charter is also set to partner with school districts to educate communities of resources to help students learn remotely.
