HAMPTON, Va. - Bass Pro Shops founder is donating 6,000 FDA approved face masks to Sentara CarePlex Hospital health care workers and first responders.

Johnny Morris, founder of the company, is personally donating one million FDA approved ASTM Level 1 Procedure face masks to healthcare workers across the entire United States.

The donation is in response to personal protective equipment being in high demand and short supply amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are extremely grateful to our nation’s healthcare workers serving on the front lines of this unprecedented global health crisis,” Morris says. “These heroic men and women continue to dedicate their lives to save the loved ones of others, and we are all honored to support them on behalf of everyone at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s, and the communities we serve.”

Bass Pro Shops is partnering with Convoy of Hope to identify hospitals in need.
