WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - An employee at Berkeley Middle School in Williamsburg tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a spokesperson with Williamsburg-James City County Schools.

According to Eileen Cox, strategic communications officer with WJCCS, the employee's contact with others in the school was limited, and the use of face coverings and social distancing measures were in place.

The building and individual classrooms are thoroughly cleaned daily, and touch points in common areas are wiped down multiple times a day.

WJCCS students are currently participating in remote learning.
