HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - More COVID-19 testing sites are coming to Hampton Roads on Friday at local Rite Aid pharmacies.

Nationwide, Rite Aid is adding 39 new, no-charge drive-through testing sites. Two of those site are in Hampton and Suffolk, according to a registration website.

The company says testing at the sites will be a self-swab overseen by pharmacists and will operate between the hours of 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday thru Friday, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Unlike what was done earlier in the summer, the tests will operate through the drive-thru window.

Anyone 18 and older can qualify for the test, even if you don't have symptoms, but you do have to pre-register online.

The online registration, which can be found at this link, shows the new testing locations on Kecoughtan Road in Hampton and Holland Road in Suffolk.

All Rite Aid locations in the area are also now offering seasonal flu shots.
