N.C. COVID-19 cases rise by 1,283 in a day as percent of positive tests slightly rises

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Monday, there are now 156,396 cases, 948 people hospitalized and 2,535 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 1,283 new cases, 50 additional hospitalizations and four additional deaths from Sunday.

A total of 2,087,695 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

In our local areas there were a total of 27 new COVID-19 cases and no additional deaths.
