The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Thursday, there are now 68,142 cases, 912 people hospitalized and 1,391 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,629 new cases and 18 additional deaths from Thursday and decline in additional positive cases from the spike of 1,843 recorded on Wednesday.
A total of 971,120 total coronavirus tests have been completed in North Carolina. The number of completed tests continues to rise in North Carolina as there were 24,630 additional tests reported on Thursday.
