Face coverings required in public starting Friday evening in N.C., where social distancing isn't possible

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.

As of Friday, there are now 58,818 cases, 892 people hospitalized and 1,297 coronavirus related deaths.

That is 1,635 new cases and 13 additional deaths from Thursday.

A total of 836,725 people in North Carolina have now been tested.

The case numbers rose 1,009 from Wednesday to Thursday so that is just over 600 more case increases from Thursday to Friday.

Beginning at 5 p.m., Friday June 26, people in North Carolina must wear cloth face coverings in public settings, both indoors and outdoors where you can not keep six feet away from people who are part of your household, state officials said.
