The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving coronavirus cases within the state.
As of Saturday there are now 42,676 cases, 823 people hospitalized and 1,104 coronavirus related deaths.
That is 1,427 new cases and 12 additional deaths from Friday.
A total of 611,690 tests have now been given in North Carolina.
This is the fourth day in a row that North Carolina saw over 1,000 new coronavirus cases.
