The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
As of Monday, there are now 177,919 cases, 765 people hospitalized and 2,897 COVID-19 related deaths.
That is 1,018 new cases, 65 fewer hospitalization and 7 more deaths from Sunday.
Our local viewing area saw 38 new cases and zero deaths from Sunday. Bertie County reports the highest case increase with 17 new COVID-19 cases.
A total of 2,459,582 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
