North Carolina reports 3,367 new PCR, antigen positive COVID-19 cases; Health officials to give virus response update

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Wednesday, there are now 304,784 PCR positive cases and 16,078 antigen positive cases, 1,537 people hospitalized and 4,898 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 2,786 new PCR cases, 581 new antigen cases and 46 additional deaths from Tuesday.

With PCR and antigen cases combined, North Carolina is now reporting 320,862 total COVID-19 cases.

News 3 will start reporting PCR and antigen positive cases as a combined daily increase starting November 18 and will continue this moving forward so the daily case numbers will be higher.

Local areas reported 51 new cases and 1 death, with Perquimans County seeing the highest daily increase of 10 cases.

A total of 4,715,093 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.
