North Carolina reports more than 4K new COVID-19 cases; State case total passes 796K

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released their daily update involving COVID-19 cases within the state.

As of Sunday, there are now 703,244 PCR positive cases and 92,951 antigen positive cases, 2,378 people hospitalized and 9,983 COVID-19 related deaths.

That is 4,674 new total cases and 57 additional deaths from Saturday.

Hospitalizations in North Carolina also dipped Sunday as there were 90 fewer hospitalizations reported.

A total of 9,265,806 total COVID-19 tests have been completed in North Carolina.

As of February 4, North Carolina has vaccinated 1,259,124 people, with 232,815 people now fully vaccinated by NC providers and 22,445 people in federal long-term care programs fully vaccinated.
