North Carolina will begin providing COVID-19 vaccines to Group 3 by February 24, with educators planned to be the first recipients of the vaccine.

According to Gov. Roy Cooper, about 240,000 in-person educators and school personnel who work in childcare or pre-K through 12th grade will be eligible for the vaccine first.

North Carolina is expected to roll out vaccines to Group 3 gradually due to the large number of people in this group and limited supplies of the vaccine.

This is a developing story.
