Rappahannock Community College employee tests positive for COVID-19 at Gloucester Co. campus

GLOUCESTER Co., Va. - An employee at the Gloucester County Rappahannock Community College campus has tested positive for COVID-19.

On August 26, RCC received notification that an employee tested positive. The employee was most recently on RCC’s Glenns Campus on August 20.

Officials said contact tracing was facilitated and a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the affected areas on the Glenns Campus were completed.

RCC’s campuses and sites remain closed to the public.

RCC said their guiding principles are:

1. Our priority is the health, safety, and wellness – both physical and emotional – of students, faculty, staff, and our community.

2. We will follow applicable CDC, Virginia Department of Health, and local guidance.

3. We will follow Virginia’s guidance on both easing and reinstating public health restrictions as the situation changes.
