The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 382,679 total cases, 317,123 of which are confirmed and 65,556 are probable. There are 5,275 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 4,646 being confirmed and 629 being probable. The case numbers are up by 5,379, and deaths are up by 49 since Wednesday.
A total of 4,463,768 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Thursday, there are 2,663 people currently being hospitalized, confirmed with COVID-19. There are 337 people receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are still pending. Combined, there are a total of 3,000 being hospitalized for coronavirus related illness. That's 75 more hospitalizations from Wednesday.
The total statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations that have been reported over time is now 18,790.
568 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
366 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 1,036 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 3,014 in the state - that's 34% usage.
32,368 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
The statewide 7-day percent of positive COVID-19 tests is 16.8%.
Virginia Beach hit a new grim record of over 400 new COVID-19 cases in a day on Thursday.
