VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach City Councilwoman Rosemary Wilson has been named vice mayor of Virginia Beach.
Wilson was voted vice mayor by her fellow council members Thursday afternoon. She replaces Jim Wood, who stepped down at the beginning of September.
Councilmembers Aaron Rouse and Sabrina Wooten were also candidates for the position.

The council will now pick Wood's replacement for his district council seat.
