DARE Co., N.C. - The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday that the first individual diagnosed with coronavirus in the county has made a full recovery.

The county has confirmed two cases of coronavirus, and said the second patient is "doing well" and is continuing to improve.

The patients' cases are not thought to be connected to each other, the county said.

On March 17, Dare County moved to restrict visitor access to its part of the Outer Banks in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus. North Carolina also issued a stay-at-home order for the entire state.
