HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a 29-year-old man dead early Sunday morning.
At approximately 12:59 a.m., dispatch received a call in reference to a single-vehicle crash that had just occurred near the intersection of West Queen Street and the I-664 overpass. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had exited the roadway and collided with a concrete pillar.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene and an adult male passenger was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver has been identified as Antonio Raspberry, a 29-year-old Hampton man.
The crash remains under investigation by the members of the Hampton Police Division’s Reconstruction Team.
