NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Patrick Henry Mall will be hosting its first Park and Play: Music, Dinner and a Movie, on Thursday, Aug. 20. The event will be held in between the Macy’s and JC Penney parking lots and will open at 5 p.m.
Attendees will have access to local food trucks, vendors and will receive special discounts to retailers located in the Patrick Henry Mall. Food truck choices will include Blackwater BBQ, Capt’n Crabby, Fortune Flavors and more.
Starting at 6 p.m. the band The Deloreans will be playing 1980s classics. Then there will also be a viewing of the movie Ferris Buller’s Day Off at dusk.
Attendees can shop at retailers and receive special discounts if they show their Eventbrite parking pass. Certain stores will be offering discounts which are only valid on the day of the event until 7 p.m.
Organizers said the area will be blocked off and access will only be permitted with an Eventbrite ticket.

Patrick Henry Mall offers a variety of high-quality retail and entertainment options and is the only enclosed mall between Norfolk and Richmond. The mall is located in the Hampton Roads peninsula on Jefferson Avenue, with direct access from I-64.
