NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Welcome to the force!
The Newport News Police K-9 Unit announced Thursday that two new K-9s have joined their team and will begin working with their human partners.
Officer Angsten and K-9 Elvis and MPO O'Berry and K-9 Volt successfully completed their certification and are now certified patrol teams, the unit wrote on Facebook.
They had been training for the last four months.
