St. Jude breaks ground on the 2021 Dream Home

Posted at 11:42 AM, Nov 16, 2020

It seems like we just announced the winner of the 2020 St. Jude Dream Home, but we're already looking ahead to next year!

The 2021 St. Jude Dream Home broke ground Monday morning in the East Beach neighborhood of Norfolk.

The home is going to be a little different in 2021. It's a luxury townhouse in a development called The Tern that is on 22nd Bay Street.

The home will be four stories tall with three master suites inside and the top floor features a view of the Chesapeake Bay.

EDC homes is back for its second year as the builder.

"Last year was our first Dream Home. It was obviously a little different because of COVID. It’s going to be a little different this year too. It’s still something great we can do during this pandemic and get back just a great organization that’s doing so much,” Nick Jacovides with EDC homes said.

Ticket sales for last year's dream home sold out early and all the proceeds went to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the fight against childhood cancer.

This year's dream home is expected to be finished in February.
