Hampton child named ambassador for international Down syndrome awareness

HAMPTON, Va. - A six-year-old boy was named an ambassador for an international organization raising awareness for Down syndrome.

Six-year-old Ethan Vance is one of 29 new ambassadors for the organization Nothing Down.

Vance was chosen to represent Nothing Down alongside his family to assist in the organization of community outreach, fund-raising, and social media promotion.

Nothing Down's mission is to provide support, education, and opportunities for those who have been effected by Down syndrome. The organization aims top change the views and eliminate stigmas of Down syndrome.

Nothing Down creates documentaries, viral photo and video projects, an annual calendar, and social media campaigns to highlight the beauty of those with Down syndrome.

The organization also host many programs such as, Blessing Baskets of Hope and a nationwide World Down Syndrome Day.

Nothing Down received over 500 applications, but picked only 30 ambassadors.
