Hampton Police investigate bank robbery at Bayport Credit Union

HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on February 15, 2021.

Around 11:25 a.m., officials received a call for a bank robbery that just occurred at the Bayport Credit Union located in the 1100 block of Big Bethel Road.

The investigation revealed that a man entered the business and passed a note implying that he had a gun and demanded money. Police say after receiving an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the man fled the scene in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black man wearing a dark jacket with a hood and a dark face mask. Police say there are no photos available of the suspect at this time.
