Hampton Police investigate shooting that leaves 18-year-old injured

HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old injured Monday night.

Police say they received a call around 8:46 p.m., in regards to a shooting in the area of West Weaver Road and Martha Lee Drive.

An 18-year-old man was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-threatening-injuries, police say.

According to the investigation, the man was walking in the area when he was shot by an unknown individual.

Police are still investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding this incident, but say the victim was uncooperative with investigators.
