Hampton Police seeking information about drive-by shooting

HAMPTON, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) in connection with a shooting that occurred on Sunday.

Around 3:30 p.m., Public Safety Communications received a call about a shooting in the 800 block of Berkshire Terrace.

When they got to the scene, officers found a 20-year-old male victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was outside of a residence when he was struck by gunfire from a passing vehicle, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
