JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. - James City County Police are currently hiring in their department.

Now through November 2, JCC Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer I (Recruit) and II.

JCCPD is a mid-size department with large department opportunities in Marine Patrol, Underwater Search and Recovery, SWAT, Police Motors, a take-home car, a gym, and more.

Police Officer Recruits hired will attend the basic law enforcement course at the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy in Newport News, beginning in March 2021.

Upon graduation, Recruits return to the Department to complete the certification process through field training.

If already a certified (BLE) Virginia police officer, then one would start with JCCPD as a Police Officer II.

To submit an application for employment, please visit the James City County Career Center.

If you have additional questions about employment with the Department, would like to schedule a tour or would like to have a conversation with an officer about his or her experiences working in law enforcement, please contact Stephanie Williams at 757-259-5173 or by email.
