JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. - James City County Police are searching for an endangered missing man after his vehicle was found abandoned in Charles City County on Saturday.

57-year-old Gregoire Alan Welty's 2013 Volkswagen was found on Roxbury Road, an abandoned road in Charles City County. The keys to the vehicle and Welty’s wallet were still inside of the vehicle, police say.
Welty previously lived in James City County but had recently leased an apartment in Williamsburg.
Police have attempted to locate Welty at both addresses, but he has not been found. According to police, his last known communication was on the phone on August 11.
Welty is considered missing endangered, but not a danger to the public.
