On Twitter Kaine said, "America is afflicted by a President who delights in division, cruelty, lies, and chaos. We deserve better in the Oval Office. In Virginia's primary, I will proudly vote for @JoeBiden. Joe has exemplary heart, character, and experience—and he’s a leader our kids can look up to."
Announcing his endorsement of Biden, Gov. McAuliffe posted on Twitter saying in part, "It’s time to unite behind the candidate who can beat Trump. @joebiden has the experience, character, and broad appeal to win Virginia and the White House in 2020."
According to the most recent poll from the Wason Center at Christopher Newport University, Joe Biden leads at 22% ahead of Super Tuesday. On March 3, Virginia residents will be able to vote in the Democratic primaries.
