SOUTH HILL, Va. -- A Lawrenceville Police Officer said she believed she was targeted by a vandal.

Officer Natasha Brown said a security camera captured video of a man damaging her unmarked cruiser parked outside her home.

Around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, a man walked into her yard, went straight to the SUV, and started flattening tires and scrapped off cancer survivor stickers.

"He started on the passenger side, let the air out of the back tire and then walks around truck and starts to scratch the sticker off," Brown said.

Brown said the video showed the man had a gun.

"It's very nerve-wracking,” Brown said. “I've been shot at. I've pulled my service weapon before. I'm trained to take care of that and also I'm a mother and wife. So I'm going to take care of my house."

Brown said she did not know the man nor his intentions, but by looking at the video she wondered if the man could have been drunk.

She watched him on camera stumble into her side mirror.

"I mean I've had one guy recently threaten to whoop my behind and smack me and all this other stuff, but I've seen him in public three times and nothing so I don't know," Brown said.

Police are investigating.
