Man arrested in connection with November fatal shooting in Norfolk's NEON District

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Police have arrested another suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in the city's NEON District left a man dead in November.

Tuesday, officials say 25-year-old Marqail King was arrested in Portsmouth.

According to police, around 10 p.m. on November 18, 2020, officers responded to the 800 block of Granby Street for a report of a gunshot victim.

When they arrived on scene, they found 33-year-old Abram D. Randle of Norfolk suffering from gunshot wounds. Randle was pronounced dead at the scene.

On November 23, 2020, detectives arrested and charged 27-year-old Celia E. Williamsof Norfolk with accessory after the fact.

King was initially charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The Norfolk Police Department said the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force helped arrest King.
