Man found shot in Virginia Beach; police investigating

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are investigating a shooting in the 1500 block of Lord Tennyson Arch that left a man injured Tuesday night.

Just after 9 p.m., dispatchers received several calls regarding a firearms violation in the area.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man in the parking lot; he was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers tried to give aid to the victim. Emergency Medical Services personnel later arrived on scene and took him to a local hospital for treatment for injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

There is no suspect information at this time.

This case is still active and remains under investigation by members of VBPD's Homicide Unit.
