Man injured in Hampton shooting, police trying to identify suspect

HAMPTON, Va. - The Hampton Police Division is trying to identify a suspect or suspects in connection with a shooting in the 1000 block of Mercury Boulevard that left a man injured early Saturday morning.

According to police, dispatch received a call about a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital at approximately 12:47 a.m.

Police said the victim is a 28-year-old man. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation, and there is currently no other information.
