HAMPTON, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man with life-threatening injuries on Sunday.
Police say the call came in at 12:38 p.m. for a shooting in the 700 block of Childs Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the man in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was transported to a local hospital, and may not survive, according to police.
Hampton police say the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was outside in the area when an unknown suspect(s) fired several shots toward him.
An unoccupied residence and occupied vehicle were also struck by gunfire, however police say no additional injuries were reported.
This is an ongoing investigation, and police are asking anyone that may have information about a suspect(s) in connection to the shooting to come forward.
