Man arrested, charged after 12-year-old shot in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Detectives were searching for a man who has been charged in connection to a shooting that left a 12-year-old boy injured Tuesday evening.

Around 6:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road. When officers arrived, they found a 12-year-old boy shot. The child was taken to Children’s Hospital of the King's Daughters to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Cevan O. Pierce, of Norfolk, was charged with three counts of malicious wounding, use of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

On October 1 police said Cevan Pierce was arrested by the Norfolk Fugitive Unit.
