VIRGINIA BEACH. Va. - Multiple cars collided, including a Waste Management vehicle, and struck a home Wednesday afternoon. Virginia Beach Police are investigating the crash, which occurred around 2:30 p.m., within the 600 Block of S Rosemont Road.

"Woo! Out of all the crashes I hear on this block it sounded like an explosion," said Ava Moore, a neighbor who heard the crash.

The massive crash in Virginia Beach scared some neighbors like no other.

"Everything happened so fast," said the concerned neighbor.

The scene of the crash left many at a loss for words. Ava Moore, a long-time resident on S Rosemont Road, tells News 3 she instantly rushed outside her home to see what happened.

"All I can see was fire trucks and ambulances everywhere. I know one of the neighbors was in really bad shape," said Moore.

The crash happened shortly after 2:30pm in the 600 block of S Rosemont Road. Police said two vehicles crashed, a pick up truck and a waste management truck, but that collision sent them into a third car parked in a driveway. When the dust settled, two vehicles rammed into the house!

"It's puzzling how one, a car would be crashed into someone else front part of their house, but it's also flipped upside down," said Moore.

This lead police to collect any piece of evidence.

"We're gathering information and took a scan of the entire scene so that we have every piece of information and evidence that we can to put this all back together," said Melissa Johnston, Virginia Beach Police PIO.

But just a few doors down from where the crash happened another long-time resident who our News 3 reporter Kelsey Jones spoke with, told her she's concerned about the uptick in crashes in this area.

"There is some problems here. I always thought that perhaps they should put a light out here" said Monnie Wells.

Several hours after the crash, police cars lined the southbound lanes of S Rosemont Road.

"I don't know if changing the speed limit will do anything. Maybe they should have some sort of slow down or yield, some type of stop sign," said Moore.

We door knocked on several houses in this area to see if anyone had ring footage, but many neighbors told Jones their camera did not pick up anything.

Two people were injured according to police but there was no life-threatening injuries.
