Disneyland Resort in California shutting down operations due to coronavirus

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California is shutting down operations beginning March 14, according to a tweet by the Disney Parks.

While no cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported, the resort will close Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure beginning March 14 and lasting through the end of the month. Disneyland Resort's hotels will remain open until Monday, March 16 to allow guests to make travel arrangements.

Downtown Disney will remain open.

"We will monitor the ongoing situation and follow the advice and guidance of federal and state officials and health agencies," Disney said in a statement. "Disney will continue to pay cast members during this time."

Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, has not announced any closures at this time.
