Newport News Police arrest man in connection to bank robbery

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police arrested a man in connection to a bank robbery.

Police arrested 21-year-old Daniel Carter for robbery, threat in writing, and enter bank armed with intent to commit larceny in reference to the robbery of Fulton Bank.

On September 25 at 2:22 p.m., police responded to Fulton Bank in the 600 block of Thimble Shoals Boulevard in reference to a bank robbery.

According to police, Carter entered the store, and implied having a weapon and passed a note demanding cash.

Police say he left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a black Ford with rims, possibly an Edge model.
