Night of the Living Museum returns as walk-through event to accommodate COVID-19 safety guidelines

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Night of the Living Museum will return to the Virginia Living Museum with added COVID-19 safety guidelines.

This year due to COVID-19, Night of the Living Musuem is now a one-way walk through only event with decorated galleries and an illuminated outdoor trail.

The museum will be open for extended hours for social distancing for four nights.

You can enjoy the Halloween festivities on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, Friday, October 30, Saturday, and October 31(Halloween) from 6 to 8 p.m. Timed tickets will be sold for this not-too-spooky Halloween event for families with kids ages 12 and under.

Get your costume ready and come dressed as your favorite character or wild animal for a 30 to 45 minute walk through the upper level of the museum and outdoor areas with inflatable Halloween “blow up” decorations in the museum’s Conservation Garden. Guests will also have the opportunity to take a nighttime hike along a lit outdoor boardwalk trail path!

All CDC recommendations will be enforced, including social distancing encforced and masks requirements for ages 10 and up.

The museum is located at 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, I64, exit 258A. Admission is $8 for VLM members and $10 for non-members. Children ages 2 and under are free.
