NORFOLK, Va. - A Norfolk church was significantly damaged, causing a gas leak, following the effects of Tropical Storm Isaias Tuesday morning.

According to Norfolk Fire-Rescue, a strong wind gust caused damage to the front of First Baptist Church on West 38th Street. Debris from the building fell onto a gas meter, causing a leak.

Virginia Natural Gas was called to the scene for repairs, and no injuries were reported.

The extent of damage to the church is currently unclear, but photos show the church's front collapsed.
