North Carolina has reported 3,426 cases of coronavirus in the state as of Wednesday, April 8.
Fifty-three people have died of the virus, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services' latest report.
The NCDHHS also said that 42,987 coronavirus tests have been completed.
