ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. — One person is dead after a crash involving a moped in Isle of Wight County.
Virginia State Police said it happened around 3:15 p.m. Monday on Route 32 at Bartlett Circle.
State Police said James Bailey, 62, of Windsor, was heading south on a moped on Route 32 when he crashed into the back of a box truck that had stopped in the travel lanes to make a delivery. Its flashes were on at the time.
Bailey died from his injuries.
The 49-year-old driver of the box truck was charged with improper stopping in the roadway.
